We would like to begin by acknowledging that the land on which we gather is the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Pacheedaht First Nation.
adventures to feed your soul
Located on Vancouver Island's Wild West Coast, Soule Creek Adventure Lodge is perched high on the San Juan Ridge with 360º panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, the Olympic Peninsula, the Juan de Fuca Strait, the West Coast Trail, the San Juan Inlet and the Coastal Mountains.
Soule Creek Adventure Lodge is an expression of Pacheedaht First Nation culture – fully owned and operated by the nation.
We invite you to join us for an all-inclusive adventure and cultural retreat of two or more nights.
During your time with us you will retreat from our busy world to a serene location perched on the San Juan Ridge, within the ancestral lands of the Pacheedaht First Nation on the farthest southwest coast of Vancouver Island. Each day, you will feed your soul with adventures led by members of the Pacheedaht First Nation, wellness classes, and culture, returning to the lodge for a communal three-course dinner rich in local ingredients and traditional foods.
In the evening, you will retire to a comfortable yurt or cabin, or in one of our guest rooms in the lodge. In the mornings, you can sip great coffee or smoothies on your private deck or in the lodge’s great room – all overlooking stunning vistas of ocean and forest.
Every retreat is unique. Some are adventure-forward. Others, a focus on mindfulness and wellness. You might take a yoga class on the beach in the early morning, experience a class from a traditional wellness practitioner, or enjoy a salmon bake in the evening. You might take a walking tour of old growth forests and culturally-modified trees, and learn about traditional uses for cedar and medicinal plants. You might paddle down the Jordan River in a kayak or a large canoe made from a single cedar log in traditional ways, designed for long-distance travel and fishing.
You can join us an individual, couple, or small group for one of our two or three night packages or a retreat. If you have a larger group and would like us to work with you to build something special get in touch and we'd be happy to work with you. We welcome corporate, government, post-secondary, family, and community groups.
Whatever retreat you attend, we promise great coffee and adventures you will remember.

Perched 200 m above sea level on the San Juan Ridge with 160 private acres bordering Provincial Park lands, our view shows very few signs of civilization, making it a great place to feel "away from it all". Catch incredible sunsets, gaze at the Milky Way on clear nights, glimpses of local wildlife while only a 10 minute drive to “downtown” Port Renfrew.
The lodge is quiet, a place to escape from the frantic pace of 21st century life. We only wish we could have planned for another day and night there. TripAdvisor Review |
