We will be re-opening for the 2010 season at the beginning of  March with lots of new renovations and a new larger Yurt (24' diameter or 452 sq.ft.). Our new yurt can also be used as a conference/retreat facility with Murphy beds to make room for plenty of floor space. We hope to see you here.

The road to Lake Cowichan (Pacific Marine Circle Route) has been completed. It is now possible to drive on paved roads in a circle over the south island (Victoria-Duncan-Lake Cowichan-Port Renfrew-Sooke-Victoria).

Spring is fast approaching and we are starting the seedlings that will grow into our menu items for those tasty treats for dinners this summer.  Fresh fish and crab are also finding their way back to Port Renfrew.

Red Creek Fir

We have just completed a project to provide signage and step by step driving directions to the Red Creek Fir (largest Douglas Fir in the World)  and San Juan Spruce(second largest Spruce in the World). This route is recommended for SUVs, Pickups and 4X4s as it is mainly on unmaintained loggings roads.
